the heart has no bones so it won't break

but the purpose of loving is the pounding it takes

14 May A bracelet from my mother and my first gift.  She said it reminded her of Katniss and The Hunger Games and I am blown away because she hasn’t read them nor seen the film and yet she still knows things.  She is the best.  She listens to me.

And then I drop you off on a street corner.

My mom.

So

Update time!

  • Had some great dreams this weekend.  In one, I was best friends with Rachel Berry.  I was in some shop trying to pick out the perfect present for her but I couldn’t decide on a good one and eventually she got fed up with me and left.  But her family said she’d forgive me…eventually.  What.  hahaha.  Another one had me at the theater watching Darren on Broadway in H2$ and Mia was there and she was so freaking adorable like I wanna be friends with her and she and her friend were dancing during Grand Old Ivy and everyone was happy and joyful.  It made me happy.
  • Last night I went out with some people from work and I had a good time.  There was me, Misty, her boyfriend Mike B. who I also work with and Mike T, my assistant manager.  Both Mike’s got wasted.  And Mike B. is pretty quiet and laid back normally and so to see him under the influence was so funny.  It was great.  We did karoake.  I usually always say a big fat NO to karoake but after a margarita, a jello shot, and half a beer - let’s do it!  The four of us did “Bohemian Rhapsody”.  Oh god.  It started out good and well…Mike B. was just like basically humming and tonelessly singing into the mic by the end.  Misty just walked away.  But it was fun and we didn’t get booed.  Liquid courage.  Misty told me that Mike B. had had 7 shots of Jose Cuervo, a margarita, and two beers.  He was schwasted.  And apparently he puked in their bed last night and she was so pissed at him because it was her turn to get drunk and he be the DD.  OOps.  He was quite hungover today at work and eventually Lauren (mngr) told him to just go home and sleep it off.  They’re moving at the end of this month and I am sad because they’re awesome!
  • Had a store meeting tonight…same old same old.
  • My throat hurts…shit, not again.
  • I’m really freaking exhausted.
  • I need to see the Avengers.  GAHHHHH I need to but I haven’t found anyone able to see it with me yet.  And I don’t want to see it alone.
  • I turn 22 in 8 days.  Meep.

I Can’t Help Myself  - The Kelly Family

Why did I torture myself by listening to this on tonight of all nights?

Like…this is one of my all time favorite songs.  I want to dance to it at my wedding.  I love it so much.  And now it’s making me cry and thrash around because of Blaine and Kurt.

I am just so emotional tonight.

I’m not sorry.

I had a crazy dream

That I died in a fiery crash but I was stuck in the inbetween.

Only my friend Emily could see me because it had happened to her before.  I was invisible to everyone else.  I kept trying to make everyone see me though.  It was a really emotional dream.

And then I became Rick Grimes and became visible in a crowd of Walkers.  Yikes.

So I got to meet David Karp Tonight.
It was inevitable that I would write about this on my Tumblog - I knew that from the moment I snuck into the back of the sold out theater. What I didn’t realize is how quickly I would come to admire a guy who previously I knew only as Tumblr Founder and occasional Uniqlo Model. I now know David Karp to be a hard working, genuine, and extremely kind person who deserves all the success he has rightfully earned. You might think I’ve just gone to mush under his spell, but trust me on this one.
I was actually the last person he took the time to talk to tonight after his lecture. I hung out in the back while he was mobbed for photos. I didn’t have a camera on me (my phone was dead as well), but I really wanted to get the chance to talk to him after hearing what he had to say. Mostly I wanted to say thank you, which may seem a bit much, but I’ve met so many wonderful people through Tumblr that it only seemed right to thank the man who made it happen. And he actually took the time to have a chat with me, more like someone you meet at a coffee shop than an internet wunderkind that Time Magazine considers one of the most influential people in the world.
So cheers to you, David.
I’m glad to see one of the good guys won out this time.

I would like to meet him.
